TAEKWONDO

Taekwondo in literal terms means the “way of kicking and punching”. It consists of sharp, strong angular movements with free flowing circular movements to produce a balance of elegance and power.

Taekwondo is a martial art that was developed over 20 centuries ago in Korea. Today, Taekwondo is the most recognized martial art in the world and a competitive international sport. It is the only martial art qualified as an official Olympic sport.

Taekwondo is unique because it offers a complete fitness program that integrates the mind, body, and spirit. It is both an art of self defense and a technique of mental discipline. Taekwondo practitioners are trained to master physical aptitude along with self-confidence and respect, and to use these qualities responsibly and dependably in our daily lives.
